The REST of the Story

It was a beautiful day in San Francisco, but the Giants could find little sunshine in their game. They lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, who stole the game 7-2.

Following the Giants game a proud and exhilarated Mustang team took the field to warm up. Superb fielding was the rule of the day. Quick, sharp throws highlighted the businesslike warm-up routine.

A masterful pitching duo of Jason Timko and reliever Steve Rogers held the Washington Eagles in check while the Mustangs scored in almost every inning.

A large crowd of Lincoln fans cheered as the Mustangs ran up 12 runs to Washington's 6 in the 7 inning thriller.

Mustang alumni, from almost all 9 Bay Area counties, proved to a small but raucous Washington contingency how a family kept together by an active and enthusiastic Alumni Association can have a positive effect on students of the 21st century.

The Abraham Lincoln High School Alumni Association salutes the 2005 AAA Champion Mustangs.

Incidentally, the JV’s beat Lowell for their title also, making it a clean sweep.

A hearty "thank you" to all the attendees and on-line well-wishers.

In addition to winning the AAA Championships, the Mustangs went to to defeat Skyline High to claim the championship title of Transbay Series. You can get the facts from the coach at pf128@msn.com or Bill Mason at bmason6056@aol.com.

        GO MUSTANGS!

Best wishes from the Executive Board of your Alumni Association
