| Lawton/Lincoln Reunion |
It has been said that living in the Sunset District in the 40's and 50's was like living in a small town. On Sunday, September 22nd some from this small town reconnected after 50 years at a Lawton School Reunion held in Burlingame. The event was organized in part by Arlene (Citron) Crabb (F57), Isabel (Is-e) (Nadel) Hogan (S58) and Joni (Micheletti) Jeffrey (S58).
While the majority who participated attended Lincoln, others present went to Washington, Lowell and St. Ignatius. Also present were 5 Lawton teachers including Marjorie (Hulbe) Petterson S43 from the pioneer class, whose children coincidentally also attended Lincoln High School. Another former Lawton teacher who was unable to attend was Lorraine (Blinn) Sharman S47 who not only went to Lincoln but Lawton School as well.
This was also a day for siblings to get together. In attendance were Diane (Corsiglia) Prill F56 and her brother Bob Corsiglia F57, Carol (Dehnhardt) Warren S58 and her sister Diane (Dehnhardt) Goldman F65, Dr. Gary Zeidler F57 and his sister Nancy Zeidler F60, and Jerry Yesson S58 and his brother Ray Yesson S55. There were even couples who met at Lawton and have been happily married since graduating high school -- i.e., Patricia (Dunn) Baker S57 and Russ Baker F55. From out of state came Gordon Gribble F58, who is a professor at Dartmouth and Annette (Hersch) Warnock F57 from Maryland.
Other Lincoln alums attending were Carolyn (Crabb) Cottrell F55, Joan (Dudak) Graveson F58, Gail (Lerman) Matesky S58, William Stein S58), Alan Thomas F58, Dave Dyc F55 and Gordon Grimm S58. With well over 100 at the Reunion, a good time was had by all
