        Linda’s career as an entertainer was nurtured during her years at Lincoln. Both as a member of the A Capella group under Lincoln’s choral director, Sandy McCabe, and as an actress under Lincoln’s drama teacher, Zora Changus, Linda blossomed, starring in many memorable musicals at Lincoln, including How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Her talent, beauty and natural friendliness led to her being voted by her classmates as Best Personality of her senior class.

        After graduating from Lincoln in 1978, Linda attended San Francisco City College from 1978 to 1980 and then San Francisco State University from which she graduated in 1982. After college, Linda decided on a career in the theater, studying acting at the American Conservatory Theater and at the Jean Shelton School of Acting. Along the way she found the time to enter a beauty pageant where her talent and beauty were recognized when she was chosen as Miss San Francisco of 1983.

        In addition to acting, Linda studied voice under Edward Sayegh, Pamela Brooks and Edna Fischer. She also is an accomplished dancer who after honing her dancing skills at Dance Synetics can now tap dance with the best of them. These talents have led to a number of stage roles including Christmas with the Crawfords.

        But her big break came in 1985 when she was tapped by Steve Silver to star in his then fairly new review Beach Blanket Babylon as the lost heroine, which at that time was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz but which more recently has been Snow White. Linda starred in Beach Blanket for an astounding run of fifteen years from 1985 until 2000. She also starred in both the show’s 20th and 25th Anniversary shows, the former at the San Francisco Opera House and the latter at the Herbst Theater. During her run, Linda not only played the two innocents, Dorothy and Snow White, but also performed as Bette Boop, the Wicked With, Glinda the Good Witch and even, Dr. Ruth. Linda’s range is such that she can play either the shy, innocent waif or the outrageous femme fatale with equal aplomb. In shows other than Beach Blanket, Linda has created memorable impersonations of Bette Davis Vicki Carr, Marilyn Monroe, Mae West, Cher, Kathryn Hepburn.

        Linda also created and starred in her own one woman show which she played all over the Bay Area, including the Press Club, the City Cabaret and at Harvey’s in Lake Tahoe. She also has directed the annual passion play at St. Cecelia’s Church for the past four years.

        Her talents have not been limited to the stage. She has appeared on television many times, most notably on Good Morning, America and Mornings on Two and has even sung at the World Series. Her 2003 portrayal of Judy Garland won her an Emmy. Her film credits include Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg and Armistad Maupin’s Tales of the City. She is currently in STUN, a television series on UPN 44 as well as remaining active with the Miss San Francisco Beauty Pageant in addition to appearing in numerous commercials and industrial films.

        In recognition of her many accomplishments, Linda was inducted into the Abraham Lincoln High School Wall of Fame in May 2004.
