        Bob is a fourth generation Californian who has had two distinguished careers, the first in the military and the second in the civilian business world. A Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of California, Bob holds both a Masters of Business Administration and a Doctorate in Business Management. Bob has attended the Armed Forces Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where he was an honor graduate. In 1981, he graduated from the prestigious National War College in Washington, D.C.

        Bob is a combat infantry veteran of five campaigns of the Vietnam war. Among his awards and decorations are The Distinguish Service Medal, The Legion of Merit, two "Bronze Star" Medals, the Purple Heart, six Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Medals and four Army Commendation Medals. He has earned an additional eighteen United States and foreign decorations.

        Following Vietnam, Bob transferred to the Army Reserve and was assigned to a variety of positions. In November 1987, he joined the Department of the Army Staff as Deputy Director of Operations, Readiness and Mobilization. In 1988, he was responsible for the planning and implementation of the Army's war on drugs and in 1989 was Director of Military Support for relief efforts for the Loma Prieta earthquake. In 1990, he was recalled to active duty during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm where he was responsible for the mobilization of the Army Reserve and National Guard. In 1991, he assumed The position of Assistant to the Military Deputy to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research, Development, and Acquisition.

        In civilian life, he was founder and President of Intrepid Resources, Inc., an oil royalty management company and Director and Vice President of Century Realty Company. Currently, he is an Investment Counselor and Fiduciary specializing in trust management. He also served as the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of Pauson Oil Company, a publicly held company. He has been co-chairman of the Bay Area Fiduciary Association and is a director of the California Association of Private Professional Conservators and Fiduciaries.

        In recognition of his many accomplishments, Bob was inducted into the Abraham Lincoln High School Wall of Fame in May 1999.
