Memorial Garden - Four Memorial Benches were dedicated Monday, November 11, 2002, during the Veterans Day program held by the Alumni Association at Abraham Lincoln High School Memorial Plaza. In addition to the benches in the Memorial Garden, is a Memorial Monument honoring those who gave their lives for this country.

Families and friends of Lincoln students who gave their lives in the service of their country were in attendance, as were present students. The benches were made possible by donations to the Memorial Fund by classmates of those who lost their lives during World War II, Korean ,Vietnam, and Gulf Wars.

Appreciation is extended to those classmates who contributed funds to make this worthy addition to Memorial Plaza possible.

Wall of Fame - Each Spring the Alumni association inducts two or three former Mustangs into the Lincoln High Alumni Wall of Fame for accomplishments in their chosen field or other special achievements. The Alumni Association also honors a retired Lincoln educator at this event.

Each honoree is first welcomed into the Wall of Fame at an assembly in the auditorium at Lincoln High School for the students. The Alumni Association feels it is important for the students of Lincoln to be aware of the achievements of past students and this assembly is always special and well attended. Lincoln students also entertain us at a dinner held at the private Family Club in San Francisco and attended by over 100 guests. Each honoree is introduced by a presenter they have selected.

Also honored at the Wall of Fame dinner are the recipients of our annual scholarships. These students (at least five, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship) receive the special recognition they deserve and with their families present, enjoy the induction of past Mustangs into the Wall of Fame.

If you feel like someone deserves this honor of being in our Wall of Fame, then download an application here and mail it off right away. This special event is a sell out each year - for information call the Alumni office at (415) 664-4903 or email us at LincAlum@aol.com.
