Splinters from the Log:
From the S.F. Chronicle...Tony Serra, serenely accepting his own financial status, is at the same time proud that his brother, RICHARD SERRA has just received a $20 Million commission from the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Lawyer Serra forwards a New York Times story that described the huge project as "a room-size installation of monumental steel sculptures, including even new ones," scheduled to be completed in June 2005. Tony Serra notes that his artist brother, "a homey," attended Aptos Junior High, Lincoln High School and UC Berkeley and that the artist put the lawyer's five children through high school.
Among the most respected alumni of Lincoln High School are the policemen, firemen, doctors and teachers. These are the outstanding, unselfish and dedicated professionals society relies on to keep this gigantic ship on an even keel.
We have had alumni from many different fields highlighted in our columns. CEO's of major companies, sports figures, actors actresses, doctors, attorneys, artists and many more. We have tried to bring you what we consider the most interesting facts we could accumulate. What we havenšt done so far is to write about an alumna who has lived a full life outside the limelight. With this column we hope to rectify that oversight. The class of 1958, as I have pointed out before, has proved to be an exceptional class. We lived in Happy Dayz.
A student and team member, Augie Muniz, says of Anna Gade "She's a really good coach. She's motivated and she gets us going. We're all on task, and we all get our stuff done on time. She's a really good mentor."
One of the main reasons your Alumni Association exists is to keep the 'family' together. Click here to view a list of Lincoln graduates who have been 'lost' because we have no information on them in the database. We would appreciate anything you can tell us about them, their siblings, parents, or friends so that they may be contacted about reunions and other events.
