School Marquee a First
By Jonathan Woo S03

Abraham Lincoln High School is known for higher standards, forward thinking and innovative ideas.

Approximately nine years ago your Alumni Association donated a beautiful changeable-letter marquee to the high school. It sits at 24th Avenue and Quintara. We were the first public high school in San Francisco to have a marquee, which added to the beauty of the school. However, recent storms and high winds in San Francisco have rendered the marquee inoperable. The Alumni Association has now made plans to replace the marquee with a new, high-tech LED message board, making Lincoln the first public high school in San Francisco with high-tech communication. This message board gives the school community opportunity to advertise more events. We are asking for your help in raising money for this project. The project will cost approximately $15,000 and your help is needed.

Please send your donations to: ALHS Alumni Association, ATTN: Marquee Project, 2162-24th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94116.

Your consideration concerning this project is greatly appreciated by all participating groups, ALHS faculty, students and your Alumni Association.
