We are more than halfway through the 2006/07 school year and the Alumni Association has been very active.

        This is a year of firsts.  We initiated the first Annual Giving Campaign and I am happy to report, that to date, alumni have donated more than $17,000.00.  We thank all of you for your generous donations.  We are currently in an aggressive effort to increase our membership.  Our database has over 36,000 alumni; however, our paid membership is 3,000.  Our goal is to send out a membership letter to everyone in the database by the end of this year.   

        We also are sorry to announce the passing of Pat (Sommers) Johanson, class of F47, former Secretary of the Alumni Association and Bernard Miossi, a beloved member of the Lincoln faculty for over 30 years.  Both contributed so much of their lives to the students at Lincoln High School and the Alumni Association. The Alumni Association will award two scholarships in their names to graduating students.

        Our social events have been well attended.  We will be awarding scholarships to graduating students at the Wall of Fame Dinner on April 30th.  Many alumni will be off to Hawaii for a 7 day cruise in May. 

        I am honored to have been elected as President of our Association.  My thanks go to our Board and especially all the alumni and faculty at Lincoln High School.  We are looking forward to seeing more alumni during this exciting year.
